It's been a bit chilly freezing cold lately but in a bid to remain bug free we are determined to not let a bit of cold stop us from playing outside. We are just wrapping up warm and continuing with our adventures, just not for as long as usual.
Last Sunday we took the girls for a little walk around the docks and then had plans to go to the park. As it was so cold we didn't get to the park but they had fun anyway.
It was lovely seeing them run and jump and getting a warm glow to their cheeks, hearing their giggles and seeing them get all excited over one lonely swan. They enjoyed watching all the boats and chatting about where they might be off to next.
Admittedly I didn't take my camera so it was Husband who took these but he doesn't mind me sharing them:
These were my faveourites, Rosie's little face was a picture. It didn't look like a big jump from where I was stood but these pictures tell a different story. I guess it was pretty high for a 3 1/2 year old:
Afterwards we had a quick look around the shops where Husband captured Poppy stood quietly waiting for me to finish looking at something. She was just stood moving in time to the music playing and was really quite relaxed. I love this picture although she does look so much older than her 5 1/2 years:
This year we are aiming to get the girls outside every weekend as well as the usual scooting to and from school and trips to the park in the week. We really are determined to stay healthy and happy.
Please come back next week for more outdoor adventures.

January 18, 2014 at 3:10 pm (11 years ago)Such lovely photos of your gorgeous girls. You don’t have to go far to blow those cobwebs away, and as your photos show the girls had a great time exploring and making their own fun. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.

January 25, 2014 at 7:42 pm (11 years ago)The photo of Poppy in the shop window is wonderful, I think it’s the angle she’s slouched at and the length of her legs which make her look about 8. I love the first photo of Rosie jumping, she looks like me in a picture at that age.
