We are all feeling pretty positive in this house this year and are determined to beat the bugs and stay healthy. We are eating really well, taking vitamins daily and planning on getting outside as much as possible. We've made a good start so far, so long may it continue!

We've decided too that at weekends we want to go on lots more walks in National Trust areas like our recent one at Woodchester Park, this one looking for squirrels in Bognor Regis and this one at Robinswood Hill Country Park.

Last Sunday was absolutely bitterly cold but it was dry and bright in the morning with the threat of rain and flooding in the afternoon. We decided to brave it, wrap up warm and head off for a quick walk whilst we could.

We had plans to go first to a favorite viewing point followed by a walk in the woods and a play in the dens…we never made it to the woods though as the girls were just too cold. To be fair it was high up and was absolutely freezing. Before they got that cold though, they did manage to have some fun and it definitely blew away the cobwebs making us all feel better:

Poppy made friends with a dog

Rosie jumped in all the puddles

and the girls were all pretty sweet together

For me the highlight was seeing Daisy out of the backpack and running around. She was a little cutie, thrilled to be free. Wrapped up in her snowsuit she was warm and cosy. She started off holding onto our hands tightly and taking tiny, tentative steps but quickly progressed to letting go and wanting to run.

You can see how happy she was with that big cheesy smile. I'm looking forward to getting lots more photos of her running around with her Sisters this year.

We are planning lots more days out like this so hopefully lots of good material for Country Kids posts too.
