Poppy has had a balance bike since she was about 2 but seems to have struggled moving on to big girls bike…she just doesn't get pedalling. Anyway last weekend we gave in and brought her stabilisers.
We only intend to have them on for a short time but they've really helped so far. We have been out everyday practising and she's getting much more confident.
Rosie has been doing well on her scooter too. Aged 2.5 she managed to scoot and bike all the way to Poppy's School and back – 20 minutes away (with minimal whining too).
We all really enjoyed the brighter warm days at the start of the week, especially as it meant a trip to the park, I forgot my camera but it was lovely.
Hope you've all been enjoying fun outside too.

February 23, 2013 at 6:46 pm (12 years ago)they look very confident on their bike and scooter. i don’t think stablizers matter really, as long as the end result, ie she manages to ride her bike without any eventually, is achieved. nice to see them better too and not poorly x x

February 23, 2013 at 8:42 pm (12 years ago)Confidence is half of the battle and that’s what she will get having the security of the stabilisers; I’m sure it won’t take long before she’s asking to have them taken off. Thanks for linking to Country Kids.
