This week we’ve been on holiday and have had lots of fun in the country. We stayed in a gorgeous log cabin hidden amongst trees in Sherwood Forest and have been enjoying the great outdoors and fresh air.

The snow made it all feel a big more magical and was perfect for great photos too. It was a bit confusing though, we felt as though it was Christians not Easter!

We’ve been very busy out walking, navigating and exploring:

We’ve made snowballs, snow angels and footprints:

We met up with a forest ranger and learnt all about the Local wildlife, even spotting deer footprints. We collected all sorts of treasures like sticks, leaves, and pine cones then turned them into crafty things to take home like a mobile & book marks:

We enjoyed sharing our breakfast each morning with the local squirrels:

We’ve played in dens, little huts and play parks:

We’ve played with water, sticks and trees:

We’ve seen the very old famous tree Robin Hood is thought to have hidden in:

We’ve relaxed in the hot tub enjoying the views of tall trees & playing I Spy:

And then we ended our days with toasted marshmallows on a real log fire. Lots of fun.

Even baby Daisy has enjoyed it. She loved being carried about on a daddy’s back. If she wasn’t staring, smiling and giggling she was doing this:

We’ve enjoyed it all so much, we want to go back and do it all again soon. What have you been up to?
