Unlike her younger Sisters, Poppy has always been happy in clothes I pick out for her. However, now at eight she’s  finally started to show an interest and wants more input into what she wears.

She still likes dresses but not fussy or puffy ones (her words). She still likes pink but adores other colours too. She still likes to look girly but not babyish. She still likes bright colours and patterns but not too bold. The list goes on.

Like me, she prefers summer clothes and isn’t a fan of wrapping up and piling on the layers. She adores colour though and patterns too but is more conservative about mixing them up then her younger sisters.

Here’s a little peek at some of what eight year old Poppy has been hiding underneath her coat this Autumn/Winter:

1. Denim Dress – Mantaray  2. Dee Dee Leggings – Jules  3. Bessie T-shirt – Joules  4. Graphic Heart Sweater – GAP  5. LuLu Navy Tights – Joules  6. Sky Blue Geo Marnie Jersey Shift Dress – Joules  7.  Reversible Sunflower Fleece – Frugi  8.  Pink Spotty Sweater – GAP  9. Inky Blue Jeggings – Next  10. LuLu Jumper Dress (Navy Spot) – Frugi  11.Denim fFoppy Skirt – GAP

One of her favourite places to shop is Joules (Good taste). She loves their mix and match leggings and teeshirts and their dresses too. She adores the colours and funky fabrics and always comments on how comfortable they are.

Frugi is somewhere she likes A LOT too. She adores their dresses, skirts and bright and cheerful t-shirts, particularly the Bretton striped ones.

Another place we’ve recently started shopping for her is GAP.  She has a few gorgeous jumpers form there and a lovely floaty denim skirt too. A great look for an eight year old!

Poppy’s going through a bit of a stage where she loves denim at the moment but does’t want to wear jeans all the time. She has a lovely denim dress,a floppy denim skirt, jeans and denim shorts. She would love a pair of the denim dungaree shorts this year too.

There you go, a little peek into the wardrobe of my eight year old, chosen by herself.

She’s growing up fast.
