After taking the girls to see a firework display and them being thoroughly ungrateful and winy, I needed a bath to relax, unwind and warm up! Thankfully I had been sent The Fizzbanger, a Lush limited edition bath bomb to try and I couldn’t wait to get in.
Fragranced with apples, cinnamon and toffee, this is a special one for Bonfire night. It might look like an ordinary bath bomb but it is far from it.
A pale yellow, sweet smelling bomb you drop it in your bath and immediately it starts to swirl, changing your water to a pale yellow colour. Nothing unusual there then but next comes the magic…..the snap, crackle and pop!
A beautiful aqua blue colours appears and your water changes colour again. It turns a gorgeous pale green colour before the bomb cracks in half. There is lots of foam and a lovely scent as well as the relaxing popping/crackling sound.
The water swirls and more and more of the bright blue appears meaning the water eventually turns a bright green colour. It takes about four or five minutes to complete and is a show itself..I wish I had videoed it.
My photos really do not do it justice.
So why does it do what it does?
Fizzbanger (£3.20) combines two of Lush’s greatest innovations … the bubble bar and the bath ballistic and layers these two materials together to enable totally different effects to happen in the water at once; the top layer of ballistic mixed with shavings of bubble bar languorously froths around the tub, leaving behind a trail of skin softening foam and bubbles. You then get to the inner ballistic layer that starts to frantically fizz around, shooting different colours into the froth and spinning around like an indoor firework!!
It looks a bit like a science experiment and I know my girls would love it so will be rushing out to get another before they sell out.
However, for now I am warm and smell lovely so am off to bed.
Goodnight!
