Did you know its National Honey Week this week? Well it is and to celebrate LUSH have a variety of gorgeous products packed full of honey to help make you feel pampered and relaxed.
At 29 weeks pregnant I am all up for a bit of pampering and relaxation so jumped at the chance to trial some.
I was lucky enough to be sent two products to try, the flying fox shower gel and the brazened honey fresh facemask.
Look out – there’s probably a bee behind you!! This is packed with so much honey, they keep trying to take it back!
This shower gel is packed full of honey from across the world and mixed with the lovely smell of jasmine. The result…….this stuff smells gorgeous! It can be used on both the hair and body and will leave you feel squeaky clean and smelling wonderful. The scent will not leave you quickly either. You will still be able to smell it hours later. A big hit with me and a product I will definitely go out and buy….its delicious!
Refreshing herbs and fruit juice are blended with warming ayurvedic herbs and spices along with kaolin and talc to provide a deep cleansing facial treatment. With almonds to polish the skin and honey acting as both a natural antibacterial agent and moisturiser, this fresh facemask leaves the skin vibrant and reinvigorated.
It should be noted that these facemasks really are fresh and so need to be kept in the fridge. They also need to be used within 3 weeks.
The mask itself has a very strong scent and is pretty course in texture. It goes on well and I smothered a good layer over my face. This was me trying it out (the things I do for this blog):
Then you just sit back and relax for about 10 minutes. It dries pretty quickly and does crack a little but does not feel uncomfortable. You simply use warm water and rub it off using your fingers. The ground almonds act as a kind of exfoliator and it does come off easy enough.
The result is smooth skin that feels lovely and clean. I loved it! The only thing I did find was that it wasn’t that moisturising – my skin was a little tight after using but then I do suffer from dry skin anyway. A touch of my usual moisturiser afterwards soon sorted me out though. It wouldn’t put me off using it it again, in fact with enough left for another few masks I am looking forward to using it again next week.
You will also find bath bombs, soaps and lip gloss included within the range. For more details check them out online or at your local store.
