Back when I was pregnant with my first little girl over 6 years ago, I had no idea what car seat to pick so asked a friend. She told me there was only 1 brand she would recommend and that was Britax. Nowadays I have three little girls and all three of them have Britax car seats.
These days I am a Britax Mumbassador and for the past month we have been reviewing a new car seat for Daisy (aged almost 2 years). Her previous one had been used by both older sisters and whilst there was nothing wrong with it, we jumped at the chance to upgrade.
The KING II LS is a forward facing car seat, aimed at children aged 9-18kg (approximately aged 9 months – 4 years):
Now I can tell you this is very easy to install and looks great. It is deeply padded meaning it's very comfortable. It has the classic 5 point harness which Daisy cannot get out of either. You do hear of children escaping from other brands.
The thing I love about this car seat though Is the sound and light indicators that tell you you have strapped your child in tight enough. This is a brilliant invention, it takes all of the doubt away. Yes you still check the chest pads are flat and not twisted but then you pull the strap and when the light comes on you know they are secure. It's brilliant. Even better, the batteries inside the light system are included with the seat and are expected to last for the full product life time (approximately 7 years). So no need to worry about that:
I should also tell you that this car seat has passed the Rollover Test 2014:
This means that:
in case of a roll-over, side impact or an offset impact where combined vertical, lateral and or oblique loading lateral forces can lead into ejection or submarining, the shoulder contact points and the crotch strap (of a fivepoint harness) stop those risks and keep the child safely in the protecting seat shell.
Daisy always looks very comfortable in it and tells us she is too. There is never a problem getting her into it, In fact she tries to climb up herself. She has done short and long journeys as well as fallen asleep in it too. She is a happy little lady:
We love it and are very happy with it.
Now I was going to do a little video but the one they have already is so good I thought I would share it with you:
I am very proud of being a Mumbassador as Britax is a brand I love and trust. Infact, I wouldn't recommend another brand for car seats either and I mean that.
Feel free to check out my review on the BOB Revolution Pro sport/ and city pushchair too and watch this space for more reviews, information and competitions.
In the meantime another huge thank you to Britax for another fantastic product.

I did receive this car seat as part of my involvement with the Britax Mumbassador programme but all words and opinions are my own.
