Last Sunday we all woke up grumpy. Not usual in this house but there you go. Quite quickly we realised it was going to be a miserable day if we didn’t get out so we headed off to our favourite place Osterley Park.
It was actually bright and sunny and when the wind settled, even quite warm. It didn’t take long for the grumps to fade and the smiles and giggles to resume:
The girls love exploring the gardens here and never tire of coming back. We were amazed to see some of the blossom appearing and there were snowdrops, daffodils and crocuses dotted everywhere. There was a real feeling of spring in the air.
They searched for fairies and jumped in puddles, they discovered a new path close to our “secret” picnic area and even took a few photos themselves:
Then we headed to the play trail. The girls were all feeling quite adventurous and asked to swing much higher than ever before. Their giggles and squeals of delight were carried across the park, whilst the few other families there looked on in surprise:
Lots and lots of fun which definitely cheered us all up.
