Over the past few weeks Poppy has been learning all about Easter at School. In fact she came home telling me “it's not all about chocolate eggs you know, Jesus died” with a very sad face.
Tomorrow she has an Easter Service but today it was all about Easter eggs. Organised by the PTA we all went on an Easter egg hunt:
The girls had great fun running round in the fresh air. Each one was given a piece of paper with six eggs on it. Instead of finding chocolate eggs they had to find big laminated pictures of eggs and then copy the pattern onto their page.
Hidden in trees, bushes, benches, fences and on walls the girls were running everywhere.
Rosie needed a bit of help but Poppy did hers all by herself. They were really excited running around and jumped up and down when they found the next one. Daisy happily sat up in her pram, watching, giggling and even clapping when they got really excited, so cute 🙂
When they discovered 6 out of 10 they got a goody bag. Rosie was trilled with hers telling me she could “Carry it like a handbag”. I was relieved to find it wasn't full of chocolate, just one little chocolate lollipop and all of this:
Lots of fun.

March 19, 2013 at 10:46 pm (12 years ago)That sounds like such a fun activity for them and not too much chocolate either. I think they have so much chocolate at Easter because everyone gives up chocolate for lent LOL. They need to make up for the lost chocolate!

March 20, 2013 at 3:05 pm (12 years ago)I must admit I tell family not to bother because I don’t like them eating much of it. We will probably do a little hunt of our own. This was great though. Their was so much excitement in thr playground, kids were just as excited over finding the pictures of eggs x
