One of our favourite days out over half term holiday was Adam Henson’s Cotswolds Farm Park. From the moment we arrived we could see how well run it was with plenty of parking. It even got better when the girls were handed halloween goody bags and animal feed on arrival and despite the weather it was a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. It was bitterly cold but that didn’t put these three girls off. Wrapped up warm they were delighted to get up close to all the animals, jump on the bouncy pillows and feed the goats. A really lovely day out.
Famous for presenting the BBC’s Countryfile programme, Adam Henson owns the park and between filming might even be spotted around. We didn’t see him but enjoyed seeing all of the animals, feeding goats, playing with piglets and cuddling baby chicks and rabbits. You can see from this next photo just how delighted the girls were. Rosie wants to be a vet when she’s older and Daisy just adores animals, in fact they all do. Some of our favourite holidays have been on farms (Boswarthen and Coombe Mill both in Cornwall).
This is really lovely place to explore and play. The animals are well looked after and have plenty of space. The staff were all friendly and approachable and very good with children. If you happen to own your own horse you can even bring it with you and go riding. Sadly we do not (although would love to) but nice idea. The girls really enjoyed the petting areas and the demonstrations, in fact we all did. It’s a really hands on place, even Mummy and Daddy enjoyed handing tiny baby chicks and cuddly bunnies.
As well as all of the animals there arare plenty of play areas for the children too. We used them all: bouncey pillows, tractor rides, play parks including a zip wire and even a maze…lots of fun.
As with all these attractions prepare to spend some money. Tickets for a family of five like us will set you back £44.50 Then of course if you fancy a drink or something to eat then that really does add up as it’s not cheap. We would highly recommend taking a picnic as there are plenty of places to eat them.
One thing included free which was a lovely surprise was free painting. I think it was just because it was halloween but the girls were delighted:
All in all a really enjoyable day out. The park is now closed for the Winter but will reopen next year and is definitely worth a visit.

I was kindly given a Cotswolds Trade Pass to allow me free entry for the purpose of review but all words and opinions are my own.

November 12, 2016 at 7:41 am (8 years ago)When we stayed in the area a few years back i thought it would be a great place to visit, but we didn’t have a child at the time and thought we would look out of place! It does look like a great place to visit though and even more so now we have J! #CountryKids

November 12, 2016 at 10:53 am (8 years ago)Adam Henson’s Farm Park really does look like a fab way to spend the day as a family, The girls look so enthralled by it all! I’m amazed by how hands on it is, some farm parks are so through the fence, it’s fab that the girls got to have hands on experiences with so many animals. It does sound like an expensive day out but you can tell by the smiles on the faces of the girls that they think the cost is worth it.
Thanks for linking up with me on #CountryKids.

November 13, 2016 at 6:16 pm (8 years ago)The food there is definitely expensive and it makes me pleased I usually only have myself and N to pay for at these places. But just the ride on electric tractors and the bouncy pillows were worth it for us! Love your photos. #counrykids

November 16, 2016 at 10:49 pm (8 years ago)Wow such a lovely lovely day out! Your girls’ faces are amazing! I love how hands on it seems to be, and I love the thought of taking along your own horse (not that I have one or anything)! I was dreading what the cost might be, but it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting so I am pleasantly surprised! #CountryKids
