Yesterday was one of those wierd drizzly, damp but strangely warm days so we decided to get out early before it threw it down. We all pulled on our wellies and headed on over to Osterley House which is a National Trust area close by and one of our faveourite places to visit.

First we enjoyed some puddle jumping quickly followed by a picnic. We sat down at the tables and did get a few strangle looks but never mind. The girls thought it was lovely and it really wasn't cold.

Next we decided to head to the play trail. The girls enjoyed running around the gardens and woods in the fresh air but most of the equipment was a bit soggy and slippery so we didn't do it all. We imagine that come the spring it will be beautiful. There's a wildflower meadow and all sorts. Lots more days out and photographs I'm thinking:

The girls really enjoyed the swings and den area. It's brilliant. We all had a swing and the girls thought it was the best place ever. Poppy even found trees to climb:

It might have been drizzly but it was far from miserable. With the bright autumn colours and the mist over the water everything looked so pretty:

Have you been having fun outside this week?
