A treetop Adventure was at the top of the girls “Things to do over the summer” list, Do you do that? Get your children to write a list of things they would like to do and then try and work through them:
Well in the end they fulfilled this wish whilst on our fantastic holiday in France with their cousins. That’s who the boys are in my photos, in case you are wondering! I still need to finish my holiday post but here’s a little glimpse of what we got up to whilst away:
The younger two were both six so could only do the smaller route like all the other under sevens. Once they got over their initial disappointment they still managed to have lots of fun together. I’m sure they could have done the bigger one but there’s always next time. Instead they got quicker and quicker at going round and found other ways to make it more interesting. These two are both cheeky ones so they always have great fun together:
The older ones had an amazing time working together as a team to ensure they all got across safely. It was so lovely to see them encouraging and helping each other. Rosie was probably the least confident but by the end she whizzing around and flying across the zip wires. Their confidence all soared by the time they got back down. Apparently it was much higher than any they had been on before, exciting because it went over a little farm and they were up there without an adult (something they hadn’t done before), I was longing to do it but we agreed to watch from the ground:
It was amazing to see how they coped with each new task and they were buzzing for the rest of the day. I think we might need to do more of this sort of thing together:
So much fun. I can’t wait to show you what else we got up to whilst away. So keep your eyes peeled for more holiday posts.

September 24, 2018 at 3:23 pm (6 years ago)Oh you went on an accrobranche course!!! We are huge fans of it too. This summer for the first time, I did the tarzan jump – you jump off a platform to reach a cargo net. It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done but oh so exhilarating! So happy your girls enjoyed it so much. You definitely need to go with them next time! 😉

September 26, 2018 at 1:51 pm (6 years ago)We don’t always do everything on the list but we try. The best of these were taken by my husband using a Olympus OMD E1 with a 200mm lens. Then there’s a few iPhone ones I took of the littlest two thrown in too x

September 26, 2018 at 11:28 am (6 years ago)What an amazing treetop adventure for your girls and their cousins. It must have been quite an experience for them to navigate their way through without adult help and they look like they did brilliantly. I can imagine it did wonders for their confidence even though it was a little disappointing for the younger ones not to be able to do the route that the bigger ones took. Thank you for sharing with #CountryKids
