Daisy is growing up so quickly and I’ve started thinking about decorating her room and making it more suitable for a little girl rather than a baby one. I’m not quite ready to do the whole room yet but I’ve started planning, gathering a few ideas and collecting a few things that might be suitable for my little princess.
She is very adventurous and cheeky, loves bright colours and is a happy, giggly little girl always on the move or looking for the next adventure. I want this to be reflected in her room. I was therefore thrilled when the opportunity came along to review a gorgeous childs blanket from Peekaboo Shop. There were so many gorgeous, colourful designs to chose from but I instantly fell in love with this beautiful strawberry fields print in watermelon. I knew it would be the perfect focal point for Daisy’s new room.
When it arrived I was even more impressed to find the matching cushion inside too. Wrapped in lovely linen bags with little touches like hearts sewn on them, I was thrilled. These would make perfect gifts as I felt very special opening them.
The print is absolutely gorgeous and the fleece fabric is so soft and tactile. I cannot explain how beautiful they are. The colours are bright and fresh, even after washing. All the girls love them. In fact we may have had a few arguments about who’s they are.
The girls have used the quilt as a play mat, had tea parties and teddy bear picnics on it:
They’ve made a bed and played Doctors and Nurses:
We’ve all really enjoyed snuggling up in it for cuddles when the girls were poorly and to watch a movie:
And of course we’ve played Peek-a-boo with it too:
But eventually it’s going to end up in Daisy’s room as a bedspread.
At the moment I’m in two minds whether to keep her beautiful Stokke cot and when ready, change it into a toddler bed or to use the white toddler bed we had for Poppy. Whatever, I choose, I do know this blanket will look beautiful on the end of it and the matching cushion will be the perfect accessory:
I’ve decided to paint all the furniture in her room. I’ve done my research and found the paint I need but I can’t decide whether to paint it all white or have 1 or 2 pink pieces. I would really love to upholster and paint the chair in her room first though:
I have been considering it for a while but have never taken on a project like it. I would like to paint it white and make it pretty looking with girly fabric. I never liked the dark wood but it was so much cheaper than the light ones so went with it. I am now on the lookout for fabric which matches the colours in her new quilt. I think I might put the cushion on it too.
Whatever, I choose I know Daisy’s room is going to be be bright, colourful and bold just like her. Watch this space for an update coming soon.
Thank you very much Peekaboo Shop, this is going to be one beautiful room once finished.

I received both the cushion and childs blanket in return for this review. However, all words and opinions are my own.
