So it's the end of week 2 of the 30 Day Shred and I have to tell you I'm impressed. Now I am not super fit or super shredded yet but I do feel a million times better than I did at the start and am starting to look better too. I haven't weighed or measured but am just going on how I look in my knickers. I have to tell you, it's a much better reflection staring back at me today than it was 2 weeks ago.
Here's how the weeks gone:
Day 8
Felt really good and really strong today. It's amazing the difference between now and day 1. I'm really enjoying exercising again and am feeling fitter. I might even try the next level tomorrow! Daisy was very cute this morning and tried to copy me.
Day 9
I did level 2 and am feeling great. It's a whole lot harder and I sweated so much more but enjoyed it. Slightly less jumping jacks but lots of high kicks, plank moves and oblique twists. You do a lot more ab work in this level. I felt as though I was dying at times. However, it's so worth it as seeing results.
Day 10
My tummy muscles ached today but I stuck with level 2 after looking at my reflection in the mirror. My tummy/ waist is really shrinking and it feels great. Daisy made me smile. When I was lying on the floor doing ab work she layed next to me, swinging her legs saying “up, down, up, down”. It did make me giggle.
Day 11
My knees hurt a bit today so I did a less impact version. This is a really hard workout. The sweat pours of me and my bottom, thighs and tummy burn. Ten minutes later and after a shower though, I feel amazing.
Day 12
All is good. I felt stronger today. I still have a way to go but I don't doubt I will complete 30 days. The effects are just as I hoped.
Day 13
I struggled to keep up today. Everything felt a bit wobbly and I was so tired. I don't think I ate enough yesterday though so making sure I eat and drink enough today.
Day 14
Felt so much better today. I struggle with the plank jacks but they are really hard!! Impressed with how far I've come though and determined to keep it up.
Like Level 1 the girls work out at different levels. This means you can make it as hard or as easy as you like. Most of the time I work out somewhere in between. Not quite as high impact as one but not complely low impact either. Level 2 Is hard but the different exercises make it interesting. I really am loving the results.
To see how week 3 goes, check back next week.
