So i’m 29 weeks pregnant now and boy do I feel it!
My stomach has grown and looks as though I have a football up there now. I am starting to suffer from shortness of breath as I run around after the girls and I am struggling to get comfortable at night time. My skin continues to be itchy but apart from all of that I feel…fabulous!
So how is my baby developing?
Well just as my pregnancy brain is reaching its highest peak so far, I find the chart I have been using to compare my babys size has changed! Honestly it seems all the bit of fruit and veg have changed weeks…just to confuse me.
Anyway carrying on from where I was at 29 weeks my baby resembles the size of an acorn squash:
According to the BabyCentre UK, my baby:
now weighs a little over 1kg and measures about 39cm from head to toe. On her head, hair is growing well. If you’re having a boy, his testicles will have descended from near the kidneys through the groin en route to the scrotum. If your baby is a girl, her clitoris is prominent, because it’s not yet covered by the still-small labia. These will grow to cover it in the last few weeks before birth.
Your baby’s head is getting bigger to make room for his developing brain. Nearly all babies react to sound and light by the end of this week.
I am starting to get really excited now and cant wait to meet her and introduce her to her Sisters. Both girls are really excited and I think we have all finally agreed on her name. We are keeping it to ourselves for now though just in case it changes. Plus we don’t want anyone saying “I don’t like that” as they did with our boys names.
The girls have started to kiss my tummy now and say hello to their little Sister which is kind of cute. Poppy keeps telling me she is going to give her lots of cuddles and help me out which is lovely, whilst Rosie keeps telling me the high chair and other things she is growing out of are for the baby. I am sure she is starting to understand too.
We are pretty organised now except she still doesn’t have a car seat. Our new car is going to be delivered in a few weeks time and will comfortably fit three car seats in it so we just need to buy her one now. I am still undecided on which to pick though.
We hope to find out more in the next week or so on when we are moving. I am dying to move and get settled before she makes her arrival. After all, we will be living closer to my family which will be a great help when I do actually go into labour. My parents could come quickly to help look after the girls whilst we are at the hospital and it will be lovely to have family around once she is born too. Everyone cant wait to meet her and have a cuddle.
Its going to be a busy Summer but we are all ready to become a family of five now. Its a very exciting time.
