Husband started 3 weeks leave on Friday and the original plan was to spend the first week in Butlins, Skegness as part of the Mum Ambassador programme. Then we were going to come home briefly before heading back down to Cornwall for a few weeks. Sadly it all went wrong when Rosie caught chickenpox. On top of that, all the girls have had a vomiting bug and the washing machine broke last week..aaaahhhhhh!!! Nightmare!
On a good note though, Daisy celebrated her first Birthday and we have made the most of having a nice garden and the sunshine:
209. “Chickenpox Girl ” – Rosie's chickenpox have reached their peak we think. She's pickled and also had a high fever etc. poor thing! They also have some sort of sickness bug. Poppy was sick last night and Rosie's been sick today!
210. “Pretty photoshoot” – I wanted to do this last week (her birthday was on the Thursday) but it was so hectic plus rainy. Anyway today we did a photoshoot today for Poppy turning five and I love the pictures. Rosie still vomiting plus itchy!
211. “Up on her feet” – Daisy really wants to be walking. She's always up on her feet, cruising the furniture and walls and pushing this little buggy around! Rosie feeling a little better!
212. “Daisy's Birthday” – I still can't believe it but Daisy turned one today. We had a quiet day but I took her out to see friends for lunch. Rosie's spots are starting to scab but she stayed home with daddy! Actually he took her on an adventure drive through. Having not eaten for days she enjoyed some chicken nuggets sat in the car so as not to infect anyone else.
213. “Bubbles & smiles” – We went to see our friends today (they've already had chickenpox). The girls had fun playing with the boys and I think the change of scenery did us all good. Rosie very scabby now. Oh and the washing machine was finally fixed yeeehhh. It's been broken for a week.
214. “Rosie's New Carseat” – I was very lucky to be the BritMums Britax competition winner. We've been waiting for Rosie's new Xtensafix Carseat to arrive in dark grape and today we picked it up. We are very impressed with it so far & although Rosie looks grumpy she loves it too! We don't think she's contagious anymore so took her out for a bit.
This is my favourite picture this week though. I took it in the garden this morning: 215. “Playing with snails” – the girls were having great fun looking at snails in the garden today. They were playing really nicely together and it was especially lovely to see Rosie smile again:
Hope you've all had a better week than us:
