We’ve just got back from an amazing 10 nights in the Dordogne and already we want to go on holiday again.
There is something about being away on holiday that is really quite special but I’m not sure what exactly it is. Maybe its the whole discovering and exploring somewhere new or perhaps it’s the sunny weather. Maybe it’s just that we all relax when away from the pressures of real life. Whatever it is, our family love it and we all wanted to stay longer.
Weave through lush and leafy French countryside and on the banks of the river you will discover the picturesque town Le Bugue. Just outside of here is where we have all been hiding. That’s what it felt like anyway as there was very little phone and internet signal. To some annoying but to us very peaceful. 10 days of family fun with no disturbance….bliss!
We have taken lots of photos and video footage which I need to trawl through but for now, heres a little peek at the town itself. Some may think it’s too quiet with little going on but from a photographers point of view it was a dream. All old fashioned doors, very French looking streets and of course the river itself. Just beautiful:
Of course no visit would have been complete without a few little sweet treats:
This was definitely a relaxing, recharge your batteries kind of holiday. Away from home there was none of the usual bickering between the three of them Instead they behaved much more like Sisters and happily walked around holding hands and cuddling. It was very sweet to see:
I can’t wait to share more soon.
